Sustainable production – A natural activity

As a result of Sven Kempe’s and his professional partner Palaniswami’s work for the environment, the production in southern India is constantly contributing to and developing sustainable production methods.

In 1987 Linum stopped the use of chlorine as a bleaching agent for all textiles. Today it is a given that textiles are produced without the use of chlorine.

In order to ensure that the dyes we use pose as little threat to the environment as possible, we only use IMO certified ecological chemicals and Öko-tex approved colour pigments.

The energy consumption in the production is kept to a minimum since we reuse the energy from the dyeing process. In addition, we have recently started using wind power for part of our production.
